Support Groups and Community
You are not alone.
Why Community?
We believe strongly that community support and connection is an essential part of healing. Too frequently, we hear from our clients that they lack connection with others who have similar experiences in their relationship with food, body, and diabetes. Many of our clients come to us after quite a bit of time in the eating disorder community, where they felt alone and misunderstood as the only person in the room with diabetes. Many of our clients come to us after experience in the diabetes community where they felt their relationship with food or their eating disorder went unaddressed and encouraged.
We are committed to holding space for the nuances of eating disorder recovery for people with diabetes, and creating safe community that fosters healing.
We offer many options for group support, though not all groups are always open to registration for new members. If there’s a group you’re interested in joining and we are not registering new members at the moment, please add yourself to our waitlist! We will reach out to you as soon as we have a new group starting up (you’ll be the first to know, we offer spots to individuals on our waitlist before we share details with the general public or post them here), or if we have a spot open in an existing group that we think you might be a great fit for!
